MY reading of your reply is as follows. The file we are trying to open has been named with too many dots in ??????? Is this correct. If this is the case why were we not informed that when naming a file only to include  0ne dot  or two dots or a max of three dots or no dots !!!!!!!! Can we have some guidelines. BUT  BUT  BUT We find we cannot open ANY scanned documents  EVEN if  NO DOTS...
