So, that’s it for another year. It’s been a strange one this year - a lot has happened. Because i like my “Top 10’s” i’m going to try sum the year up in that manner, so here goes.
10. Movember. Never really been able to grow a tash, but along with some of the lads at work, i gave it a go.

As you can see, it wasn’t great, but it was for a good cause.
9. Buster the cat. In June, i opened our side door, and heard this “miaowing”. There stood a little cat. It looked young, and very thin, yet it was remarkably friendly. Now, i’m not really a cat person, but there was something about this one that made it really likeable. We fed it, and it kept coming back to us. We made it a little bed in the garden, and it started using it most nights. Eventually, we let her - (i say “her” as we checked for “bits” and there were none there) in the house.

To cut a long story short, she’s still with us, and now pretty much a house cat, and very lazy.
8. Moving house. For anyone that knows me well, they’ll know how i wanted to move after our neighbourhood in Pudsey wasn’t what it was when we first moved in. Numerous reasons made us both want to look elsewhere.

In October we moved back to Rawdon, and so far we’re both very happy.
7. Baby Holly. Holly, my niece, was born on 15th February. I held her at less than 24 hours old which is incredible really - she was tiny!

She enjoyed her Christmas this year bless her, and steals the show at any family gathering.

Bless her!
6. My stag do. A day at the races, forced to dress as a jockey for the day.

Probably got off lightly, but had an amazing one. Lots to drink, in the company of some great lads, and one of the best days of the year!
5. Prague! Went to Prague in October on James’ stag do. Was a messy one. Took me about a week to recover.

Great set of lads, and had a blast!
4. James and Hannah’s wedding.

Great day for two of our closest friends.
3. Big Country. To see your favourite ever band is amazing. Especially after they haven’t performed live for many a year!

Saw them twice, but the best time was way back in early January in Birmingham. Me and the wife (then fiancee) stayed overnight in snowy conditions and it was an amazing night. She said i didn’t stop smiling for 2 weeks after!
2. Our Honeymoon. Spoiled the order a bit here - you should read number 1 first, but never mind… Yep, our Honeymoon. Went back to Playa del Carmen and “upgraded” to the best hotel in the resort. Was a great holiday and had a much needed breather.

The weather was mostly lovely. Had the odd day where it belted it down. Sunburnt me tits one day though, but the redness soon died down.
1. I got married! What a day it was too. The first 6 months of the year were pretty much devoted to the planning of the wedding, but it all came together perfectly and i wouldn’t have changed a damn thing.

Rochelle not only looked amazing, but did a wonderful job of organising most of it, and it truly was the happiest day of my life. Diddicult to explain until you have experienced it, but to share such an occasion with all your loved ones is amazing.
So, here’s to 2012. Happy new year!
